Frequently Asked Questions
What does Wolf Pine Capital do?
Wolf Pine Capital provides ongoing financial planning and investment management. We help coordinate investments, taxes, retirement, estate planning, insurance, equity compensation, business wealth, charitable goals, and multigenerational decisions.
Who do you work with?
We primarily work with families, professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and business owners whose financial lives have become more complex and interconnected.
Are you fee-only?
Yes. Wolf Pine Capital is compensated directly by clients and does not receive commissions for selling investment or insurance products.
Are you a fiduciary?
As an investment adviser, Wolf Pine Capital has fiduciary obligations to advisory clients. Conflicts are identified, disclosed, and addressed in accordance with applicable requirements.
How much do you charge?
Wolf Pine Capital generally charges an annual advisory fee equal to 0.65% of assets under management. Review the current Form ADV and advisory agreement for complete fee and billing details.
What is included in the advisory fee?
The ongoing relationship generally includes financial planning and investment management. The scope may include retirement, tax-aware planning, estate coordination, equity compensation, concentrated stock, charitable planning, and coordination with other professionals.
Do you prepare tax returns or legal documents?
No. We incorporate tax and estate considerations into financial planning, then coordinate with qualified accountants and attorneys when tax preparation, legal advice, or document drafting is required.
Where are client assets held?
Client assets are held with a qualified independent custodian rather than by Wolf Pine Capital. The custodian maintains the accounts and provides account statements and secure access. Wolf Pine Capital provides advice and, where authorized, manages the investments in those accounts.
Do I need to live in New Hampshire?
No. Wolf Pine Capital is based in Portsmouth and can serve clients in multiple states, subject to applicable registration requirements.
How do meetings work?
Most meetings are virtual. In-person meetings are available in the Seacoast New Hampshire area by appointment.
What happens on the introductory call?
